This is a three colour screenprint inspired by the small town of Bradninch in mid-Devon where, like many places, is home to a large and noisy rookery. In early spring they can seen and heard searching and for and squabbling over available chimney pots for nesting, along with their equally noisy cousins, the Jackdaws.

It has been made using the screenprinting method of creating a photo-stencil from an acetate composed entirely of cut paper and a variety of ink and paint marks on drafting paper. These are then collaged together to create the stencil that is then transfered onto the screen through the application of photo emulsion and exposure to light.
